Commandant Chinedu Igbo Receives New Delta Immigration Comptroller, Reaffirms Commitment to Inter-Agency Collaboration
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Delta State Command, has renewed its commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration with the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) as part of efforts to enhance security and tackle emerging threats across the state.
The State Commandant of NSCDC Delta State Command, Commandant Chinedu F. Igbo, on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, received the newly posted Delta State Comptroller of Immigration, CIS CO Solo-Akora, psc, alongside her management team during a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters.
Speaking during the visit, Comptroller Solo-Akora expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded her by the NSCDC leadership.
She noted that the visit was aimed at formalizing and strengthening existing ties between both agencies while fostering greater cooperation in the discharge of their security responsibilities.
The Comptroller emphasized the importance of sustained synergy among security agencies in addressing insecurity and pledged to build on the cordial working relationship already existing between the Nigeria Immigration Service and the NSCDC in Delta State.
In his remarks, Commandant Chinedu Igbo welcomed the Comptroller and her team, assuring them of the command’s unwavering support and cooperation.
He stressed the need for continuous intelligence sharing and harmonious working relationships among personnel of both agencies to achieve the collective goal of ensuring the safety and security of residents.
The NSCDC Delta State Commandant further highlighted the importance of collaboration in combating human trafficking, illegal migration, and other transnational crimes, noting that effective partnership remains critical to addressing modern security challenges.
Commandant Igbo assured the Immigration Comptroller of his readiness to provide all necessary support whenever required, while reaffirming NSCDC’s commitment to fostering stronger inter-agency cooperation for the benefit of Delta State and Nigeria at large.
